B. Advanced First aid services

Team with advanced First aid training.
Minimum Qualification – Valid first aid certificate
age >18 years Service experience > 03years
Suitable for events with medium risk

C. EMR services

Service Code: FAS / EMR
Team with advanced First aid training + EMR
Minimum Qualification – Valid first aid certificate + EMR or EMT certificates
age >18 years Service experience > 03years

Ambulance services provided by St John Ambulance Sri Lanka

Basic Life Support Ambulances - Code : BLS / AMB – L1 without AED

services provided as stand-by duty & patient transport services

Basic services included ( from Ambulance staff )

1. Attending emergencies within the service area & handling casualties.
2. Performing primary assessment & identifying risk & damages.
3. Prioritization & triaging the casualties.
4. Providing ABC at the site & mobilizing without further damages.
5. Providing Oxygen via face Mask if necessary.
6. Providing AMBU ventilation if necessary.
7. Controlling the bleeding at the site of accident.
8. Transporting the casualties to nearest Hospital.
9. Giving a brief report regarding casualties to Institution & STJ SL.
10. Rearranging & replacing the equipment’s & vehicle after handling the incident.

Services not included in this package
( Code : BLS/ AMB/ L1 )

1. Giving Saline & IV cannulation
2. Intubation of patient.
3. Using AED
4. Using Nebulization
5. Treating for non-urgent illnesses
6. Providing Medical advices for illnesses.

General Conditions:

For all emergencies of natural disaster or human made disasters & selected non- profitable national events – ST JOHN will be providing services free of charge depending on the need & availability.
All commercial/ entertainment/ brand promotions events will be covered on request for a prior agreed contract ( not free of charge ). Please forward Service request form for quotation.

ST JOHN SRI LANKA - providing unlimited voluntary service for the following events annually.

2. Kandy & Kelaniya perahera
3. Nallur Kovil religious festival , Jaffna
4. Religious event at Madhu
5. Sri pada season in Maskeliya
6. Various other public gatherings.

ST JOHN provided unlimited voluntary services during; 2021 - 2022

1. COVID pandemic providing disinfection program / distributing medicines & other food items.
2. During fuel crisis providing health checkups, health advice.
3. During Aragalaya providing emergency services.
4. Every day our District teams providing free services during various local events.

Where there is an emergency need for human resource – ST JOHN takes the leadership without any discrimination & without considering monetary benefit.
